Ingredients

  • 3 bananas whole
  • 1 banana cut in half
  • 250 g of oats
  • 250 g plain flour
  • 110 g vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 80 ml maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 950 ml Oat milk or any other milk substitute
  • 70 g chocolate cut into squares or chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200 °C
  • Add the 3 bananas to a square baking tray and mash with a fork
  • Add the oats, plain flour, vanilla protein powder, cinnamon and baking powder and mix
  • Add the maple syrup and vanilla extract
  • Slowly add the oat milk and mix well as you go, add in more if desired. A wetter batter makes a moist cake-like texture and a thicker batter makes a chewy flapjack-like texture.
  • Top with the banana cut in half and layer on the chocolate.
  • Cook at 200 °C for 40 minutes, or until golden brown
  • Leave to cool sightly before serving
